EP 15: Showing Up and Leaning In with Jessica Mayfield
Today I talk with my friend of 12 years, Jessica Mayfield. She's a creative entrepreneur, marketing/branding guru, photographer, wife, mom, the list goes on...
We talk about navigating friendships, leaning into relationships when things get hard and showing up for people. Jessica also shares about running a business with her husband and their ultimate decision to close the business in order to prioritize their marriage.
She also shares about the loneliness of miscarriage and how she has, since, learned to help friends as they process grief and loss.

What music are you listening to and loving lately?
Yikes. I'm honestly, such a podcast girl! I listen to This American Life every week. But when my kids aren't asserting their bold, newfound opinions of preferred music I'm usually listening to one of two playlists! Right now I have a "prayers" playlist of worship songs I'm listening to pretty much daily while we're just around the house. Or this playlist of just easy songs I like!
What's the most influential book you've ever read?
Pretty much every book I've read recently has something to do with trying to unlock the secrets of motherhood and succeeding at not raising sociopaths.... No Drama Discipline or Parenting with Love and Logic 😉 The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis is still just one I love.
